If only this beach hotel was still here! It would be nice if someone could rebuild this somewhere on the island agin.
We were asked recently, “What makes Galveston feel like it's own country?” Do people from Galveston really think they live in their own country? If you ask any local, they will tell you they only leave the island when they are forced to, and when they leave, some say they have to go to America!
If you're looking for a place to have a cold beverage and enjoy the gulf view. We have many to choose from for sure! But if you're looking for the best happy hour prices on the island one of our favorite new spots is Nick's Redfish Pool Bar! You have access to the pool at the hotel, a Pool Bar with killer Pina Coladas, a good size menu, and a beach view!
Galveston is kinda known for its bars per capita. For such a small city we may be one of the largest bars per capita in Texas. Here is a list of the dive bars on the island. Best to bring cash to most of these places! A few of them don't except anything but the ole presidents themselves!
